The present and the future of industrial informatics are the central axis of the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN’21), an international scientific meeting that was held online on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of July and which has been organized with the participation of the University of the Balearic Islands.
Industry experts, researchers and academics met to share ideas and experiences around cutting-edge technologies, advances, innovative solutions, research results, as well as initiatives related to industrial computing and its applications.
In the sessions of the congress, researchers presented the last results of the field of the industrial computing, and covered a wide range of subjects, from the cyberphysical systems in the industry to the industrial applications of the artificial intelligence. They also presented technologies that are specific to strategic applications such as smart buildings and cities, and smart grids.
This is the 19th edition of the congress. The most recent previous editions were held in Beijing (China, 2012), Bochum (Germany, 2013), Porto Alegre (Brazil, 2014), Cambridge (UK, 2015), Poitiers (France, 2016), Emden (Germany, 2017), Porto (Portugal, 2018), Helsinki-Espoo (Finland, 2019) and Coventry (UK, 2020).
