Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a set of technical standards that is being developed by IEEE. These standards aims at providing Ethernet with network configuration, real-time and reliability services. Nevertheless, there are some reliability aspects important for critical systems that are not covered by these standards. In this presentation we discuss the mechanisms and techniques we are currently working on to increase the reliability of TSN-based networks; as well as current work on dependability in other technologies, namely the Flexible Time-Triggered (FTT) paradigm, that we think can have an impact on TSN.
