Research lines: Fault tolerant communications

Mateu Jover Mulet recieved the degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in 2020. Then, Mr. Jover recieved the master’s degree in Intelligent Systems with a specialization on Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence in 2022 from the same University.

As a master’s student, Mr. Jover started working in the Systems, Robotics and Vision. He is co-author of a paper published in International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation in 2022 (ETFA’22), while conducting his Master’s thesis. This research paper was awarded the Factory Automation Best Paper Award. Mr. Jover has also been part of the local organizing team, as well as an attendee, to the 19th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN’21).

M. Jover was hired (October 2022 – August 2023) in the context of the Programa SOIB Recerca i Innovació, 2022-2025, funded by the EU’s Resilience and Recovery Mechanism. After this contract, mr. Jover obtained a FPU-CAIB grant Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats del Govern de les Illes Balears.

Mr. Jover’s current work focuses on high reliability control systems for electrical substations and microgirds. Thus, his current work focuses on the development of fault tolerance mechanisms for reliability in Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) communication networks and their application in control systems for the power grid.
